Richmond, VA (1140wrva.com) –  Richmond Police are warning drivers of impacts downtown Friday afternoon, as students are expected to march on the State Capitol to protest school violence.  The crowd is estimated to be as large as 10,000 people.

The rally will begin at Brown's Island, where voter registration will take place.  Then, between 1pm and 2pm, marchers will head out to the State Capitol.   North Seventh and Grace Street will be closed in the area during the march.  There will also be limited no parking zones between 7am and 7pm on Seventh and Grace Streets.

Police are asking people driving downtown to be patient.   They are also asking marchers to use sidewalks outside the actual march.
