Two People Killed In Fort Lee Fire

Early Morning Fire Was In Duplex

PETERSBURG, Va. (AP) Two people have died in a fire at a duplex in a Fort Lee housing area.

The U.S. Army base's public affairs office says the fire was reported around 3 a.m. Monday in one unit of the duplex. Firefighters extinguished the blaze shortly after responding.

The duplex's neighboring unit was damaged. No other injuries were reported.  The victims' names are being withheld pending notification of relatives.  The fire is under investigation.
