Richmond, VA (1140wrva.com) – VDOT is warning drivers to, if at all possible, avoid I-95 this weekend.  Traffic will be down to one lane both directions as contractors replace the southbound bridge over Overbrook Road.

The work is tricky because the contractor has to work around power lines in the area.  The lane closures will occur from 8pm Friday until 6am Monday.  Drivers going through Richmond are recommended to try I-295 instead.

The closures will be repeated the following weekend with the northbound bridge is replaced.
