Dinwiddie, Va. (1140wrva.com) Virginia State Police are mourning the loss of one of their troopers gunned down during a traffic stop in Dinwiddie Thursday afternoon. State Police spokesperson Corinne Geller says Master Trooper Junius Walker, who was 63, pulled up next to a car stopped on the shoulder of the southbound lanes of Interstate 85 near the 45 mile marker around 1:20pm. The responding trooper and Brown exchanged shots before Brown ran into the woods. He was captured about 30 minutes later hiding at a tow truck business. Brown is charged with capital murder of a police officer and attempted capital murder.
