Debate In Fairfax Focuses On Experience
Richmond, VA (1140wrva.com) – Two of the three candidates for Governor squared off in a debate in Fairfax County Wednesday night. After a summer where Terry McAuliffe (D) and Ken Cuccinelli (R) tried to tie each other to scandals, this debate focused mostly on experience and social issues.
Cuccinelli spent a good portion of the debate trying to paint McAuliffe as ignorant of the way Virginia government works. McAuliffe, in turn, suggested Cuccinelli's social issues are turning away businesses.
The two meet again in Roanoke next month. Libertarian Candidate Robert Sarvis was not invited to this debate but may get invited to the Roanoke one.
